Firearms are good helpers and dangerous enemies for humanity. And whether they are beneficial or harmful to us depends mainly on who holds them in their hands and how responsibly or irresponsibly they handle them. So such firearms are actually not responsible for anything, they are not evil. That is why weapons are in the world. And so that they do not cause harm, their owners and users are limited. There are people who need such firearms and acquire them, there are those who get them, even though they could actually do without them, and there are those who would like to have them, but do not get permission to do so. And then, in short, someone shoots or can shoot, while someone else does not.
The restrictions and complications in obtaining a firearm are usually logical. Some people are not entrusted with them by society because they rightly do not trust them to use such weapons legally and safely. And some people are only allowed to own such weapons as a preventive measure. And that means that someone would like to shoot, but has nothing to do with it. And while some people accept it, others feel sorry for it. And what do people do when they want to shoot themselves? Those who do not follow the law may buy a firearm somewhere on the black market. Which is criminal, but it happens. And the others? Those who do not want to break the law? They have to look for alternative options. And what options do people have in our country? What should people who would like to shoot, but cannot get hold of any weapons, do? They actually have a unique opportunity to satisfy their desire. And they do not have to get a weapons license, nor buy a permitted weapon, nor deal with where to store such a weapon safely and where to shoot it safely. All they need to do is make an appointment and go to a shooting range in the very center of the Czech Republic, where experienced instructors will lend them one of the firearms used here, teach them how to use it, and let them shoot at targets in a completely safe space.
So anyone who wants to shoot in the Czech Republic has the opportunity. Even if they don’t have and never will have a weapon that would serve them. They will enjoy it under the supervision of instructors. And this opportunity is available not only to Czechs but also to English-speaking foreigners.
